OPC2Modbus converts OPC data to Modbus. The source lists both Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU.
How to confirm point capacity
The source does not specify a software point limit. This statement applies to the software version described in that document. It does not establish arbitrary capacity for every version, licence or operating environment, and does not mean that hardware gateways have no point limits.
Checks before deployment
Provide the actual version and expected project size.
- Confirm the software version and licence scope.
- Record the expected point count, acquisition interval and host-system capacity.
- Verify operation against computer performance and site load.
Verification
Establish a complete read connection from one OPC point to its target Modbus point and confirm that the values have the same meaning. Expand towards the project size gradually while observing update behavior and operating status.
