Electricity-meter integration
At OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Wuxi, China, three Sunfull X2BACnet protocol-conversion gateways connected electricity-meter data to the Johnson Controls Metasys system.
Acquisition and forwarding
The documented configuration used two RS485 buses per gateway, with 30 meters on each bus. Seven values were collected from each meter over Modbus, including current, voltage, power, active power and reactive power.
The gateways converted the collected data to BACnet/IP and provided it to Johnson Controls NAE network controllers for integration into Metasys. Operators could then configure the meter displays and monitor the meters within that system.
