Day and night temperature and humidity control
The testing center at the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences used a precision air-conditioning system to control temperature and humidity in a cultivation facility. The original installation did not allow different setpoints to be applied automatically during the day and at night.
Connecting the touchscreen to the existing controller
The retrofit added an industrial touchscreen. Its configuration scripts set the temperature and humidity according to time periods. The existing manufacturer's control panel used T-Master version 2.11, while the touchscreen supported Modbus RTU and could not communicate using T-Master directly.
A Sunfull hardware protocol-conversion gateway converted T-Master communication to Modbus RTU, allowing the touchscreen and the existing control panel to exchange data.
Reported result
The case reports automatic temperature and humidity adjustment for different time periods in the cultivation facility.
Project selection
For a similar retrofit, provide the existing controller's protocol and version, the touchscreen interface and the required control points so that the gateway can be matched to the equipment.
