Port filters specify a minimum requirement

A selected count means at least that many ports are required. An unrestricted condition does not mean a product lacks the port. Undocumented counts remain unconfirmed, not zero. Check total serial ports, RS485, RS232 and any shared functions against the wiring diagram rather than adding every interface label together.

Different buses must remain distinct

  • The HMI1002-ARM(CAN) document confirms two CAN ports; these are not RS485 ports.
  • The HMI1002-KNX-TP document distinguishes the COM1 RS485 port from the COM2 KNX TP bus port. KNX IP protocol support does not establish a physical KNX TP interface.
  • The BAC1011-MBus documents distinguish one two-wire MBus interface from one RS485 serial port.
  • BAC1002-MBus connects four-wire MBus instruments through RS485. Its model name alone does not establish a native two-wire MBus interface.

A model may have multiple power editions. Wiring, supply, shared-port and option notes must match the selected hardware edition. Software protocol support does not add physical ports.
