Ethernet and RS485 communication ports are not substitutes for analog or digital input terminals. For direct signals, select a model explicitly providing the required I/O, or use a matching I/O module to convert the signal into a supported communication protocol. Similar housings or model names do not prove onboard I/O.
Catalog examples: DDC1001-2222 provides 2DI, 2DO, 2AI and 2AO, with 0–10V AI/AO. IOM0080 provides eight analog inputs and lists 0–10V and 0–20mA. IOM0080T provides eight resistance-temperature inputs and lists Pt1000, Ni1000, NTC, Pt100, Cu100 and Cu50. These interfaces are not interchangeable. Use the purchased model’s wiring diagrams and ratings for wiring, three-wire RTDs, thermocouples and loads.
